| -------------------------------------------   botev plovid at.madrid  gluhchev-yakimov-1967 - botev plodvid  The 80's were maybe the greatest era of Botev Plovdiv, but unfortunately the team couldn't manage to win a single Championship, although the team was praised as one of the best in the whole decade. The great era started with winning the Bulgarian National Cup in 1981. Botev had an easy road to the final, but faced a tough opponent there - Pirin Blagoevgrad. The Yellow-Blacks won 1:0 and lifted the National Cup for the second time(in the picture below). The club gained the opportunity to play in Europe again, in the Cup Winners Cup tournament.  botev barcelona |
