This weeks front page features the construction of the new Portman Stand (later renamed the Cobbold Stand) in 1971: The centre section of the stand (wings were added a year or so later) was built during the close season in just 102 days. Compare and contrast with the rebuilding of Wembley (7 years) and the rebuilding of Stamford Bridge (about 30 years!).
