Cuando Inglaterra cedió ante la esvástica

Por MIGUEL ÁNGEL LARA

1323819348_extras_ladillos_1_0

The first was a 1-1 draw in Rome in 1933. A year later the sides met in what became known as 'The Battle of Highbury'. Italy, playing their first game since winning that year's World Cup Final, a tournament England had declined to take part in, were defeated 3-2. However the match was so violent that it provoked debate about whether England should withdraw from international football entirely.
